1. NAVIGATING THE GTLLI WEBSITE
To go to the Home page from anywhere on the GTLLI website, click on the Lighthouse image at the top or in the Footer of any page. A symbol of guidance for millennia, the Lighthouse brings you home
2. HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER
To become a GTLLI member click on the Become A Member link at the top right of the page. This will bring you to the Membership page, where you will be prompted to enter basic information, including your full name, email address, telephone number and postal code. Then click on the blue Sign Up! Button. Membership is free and there are no restrictions on becoming a member. Everyone is welcome.
As a member, you will receive email communications and reminders about upcoming lectures, events and activities. Additionally, you will be able to vote at our AGM.
Walk In Option:
You do not need to become a member to attend an individual lecture. You can attend and pay $15 in CASH at the door. We will ask you to wait in the lobby, and admit you once we are sure space is available; if not we will refund your money. However, membership is required if you plan to view the lecture video, available a day after the live lecture.
3. HOW TO CREATE AN ACCOUNT
To create an account, go to the Become A Member link at the top right of the GTLLI Home page. This will bring you to the Membership page, where you will be prompted to enter basic information, including your full name, email address, telephone number and postal code. Then click on the blue Sign Up! Button.
It is very quick and easy to do. If you need assistance, please call our Information line at 705-300-3251 or email info@gtlli.ca .
If you are creating an account for someone else, you will need to use the device they use for their email. On their device go to the gtlli.ca website, then click on the Become A Member link at the top right of the Home page. Then create an account for the person by entering Membership information.
4. PURCHASING A GTLLI LECTURE SERIES
Sign in to your GTLLI account. When you are signed in, a Sign In Status page will pop up, with Welcome – Your Name – You are Signed In. From this Welcome page you can click on various links including Purchase, Lectures and Go To Home Page.
You will know you are signed in to your account, because on any page you navigate to, you will always see a message at the very top right of your screen in white font on a black background, worded: Welcome, You Are Signed In As – Your Name.
To Attend Lectures In Person:
To purchase a lecture series or the entire season, once you are signed in, click on the Manage Account link at the top right, then on the Purchase link from the drop down menu. The Purchase page will pop up for you to purchase. You will be purchasing an In-Person ticket to attend the lectures at New Life Church, INCLUDING access to the VIDEOS of any of the series you purchase, available a day following the lecture.
Each member of your household must sign in to their own account to make their own purchase. The reason for this is that we use your email address to identify your individual account. You can only make one purchase per individual email account.
Payment can be made by Visa, Master Card, American Express or a prepaid Visa gift card.
Please note, due to seating limitations we limit the number of In Person tickets we sell.
Video Only:
If you are not able to purchase a lecture series ticket because it is sold out, you are still welcome to purchase a Video Only ticket. The Video Only ticket allows you to view the lecture series videos when they are available, a day following the lecture, AND to attend the lectures in person, if space is available. Historically we have not had an instance when space was not available.
To purchase a Video Only ticket, follow the same process as for an In Person ticket, but select the Video Only ticket for each series you wish. If you need help please contact us at info@gtlli.ca or 705-300-3251.
5. HOW DO I VIEW VIDEOS?
If you prefer to watch the lecture at home on your own device or you purchased a Video Only ticket, you will be able to access the Videos a day after the live lectures. To view the Videos of the lecture series you purchased, sign in to your account. Then click on the Lectures link at the top left of the Home page. Then choose the lecture series you purchased, either from the Lectures List, the Lectures Calendar or the Upcoming Lecture Series links. Then click on the lecture your wish to view. You may see Read More, and if so, click the link. Then click on the View Lecture Video link. Or you may see the View Lecture Video link on the Lecture page.
If you need help viewing the lecture video once it has loaded, there is a task bar across the bottom of the video screen. From left to right on the task bar, click on the arrow icon to start or pause the video, the speaker icon to raise or lower volume, the CC square icon to turn closed captioning on or off, and the four direction arrows icon to bring the video up in full screen.
6. HOW DO GTLLI AND I COMMUNICATE?
GTLLI sends regular updates, schedule changes, confirmations of orders and receipts for your purchases. Once you have created an account, we provide you with regular updates via email.
If you are not receiving our communications:
- Sign In to your account on the GTLLI website.
- Click on Manage Account on the top right of the page, and check to ensure that your name, email address and telephone number are correct.
- Check your spam or junk folders for our emails.
- Move our emails from spam or junk folders to your inbox to recover them.
- Enter registrar@gtlli.ca and info@gtlli.ca in your address book.
7. HAVING TROUBLE WITH A GTLLI ACCOUNT?
For help with creating an account, changing your email address or password, or if you cannot remember your password, please call 705-300-3251 or email info@gtlli.ca . A volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible.
8. WHAT TICKETS DID I BUY?
To confirm what you purchased, sign in to your account. Click on Manage Account link at the top right of the page, then click on the History button, or check the receipt in your email from GTLLI. If you still have trouble, contact info@gtlli.ca or call 705-300-3251. A volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible.
9. WHY DO I HAVE TROUBLE BUYING A SERIES ON MY ACCOUNT?
When buying any series, check that you are signed in to your account. When you are signed in, you will see a message at the very top right of your screen in white font on a black background worded: Welcome, You Are Signed In As – Your Name. Then click on the Manage Account link, then the Purchase link from the drop down menu.
10. DOES GTLLI OFFER REFUNDS?
GTLLI does not refund purchases except under exceptional circumstances. Please call 705-300-3251 or email info@gtlli.ca for assistance.
11. WHY DIDN’T I GET A RECEIPT?
Once you have purchased the full season or any series you wish, you will receive an email confirming your purchase – this is your purchase receipt. We do not issue a separate receipt. If you have not received a purchase confirmation email, check your spam or junk mail file. Verify your email address by Signing In to GTLLI, then going to Manage Account, then clicking on the History link.
12. HOW DO I GET MY TICKETS?
There are no physical tickets for live lectures. We will have your name on our Check In list at the Registration desk at New Life Church on the morning of each lecture.

13. WHEN AND WHERE ARE THE LECTURES?
Live lectures are held at New Life Church, 28 Tracey Lane, Collingwood, east off Hurontario Street, north of Poplar Side Road, on Friday mornings, 10 am - noon.
Videos of the lectures you purchased are available a day after the live lectures until the end of June of each lecture season.
